Linum Consult’s client is an international firm well established in Africa. They are looking for a French- and English-speaking Sales Manager to manage and develop the customer portfolio of machinery in mining, construction, forestry, and energy sectors. This role will be based in the DRC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Searching your designated markets, in coordination with the local sales teams
- Developing the construction, industry, transport, and energy client portfolio
- Providing monthly reports on the developments in assigned territories
- Exploring new business prospects for existing customers
- Analysing and reporting on competitor markets, their products and commercial offers
- Regularly visiting customers on site or at head office
- Developing and maintaining customer records on the CRM
- Carrying out and negotiating equipment and parts offers with customers
PROFILE
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in a commercial position within the machinery industry, particularly construction, mining, forestry, and energy equipment
- Experience in an international company, and dealing with major accounts
- Prior knowledge of industrial customers in the Africa region
- Ability to work under pressure, flexibility towards workload, and the ability to research information
- Solid financial acumen
- French-speaking with a good level of English
