Linum Consult’s client is an engineering consultancy currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer, specialising in large warehouses, industrial buildings, and data centre construction projects to join their team on a 6-month contract day rate. It will be outside of IR35 regulations. This position is remote, based in the UK, with occasional visits to their office in Paris.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design a wide range of complex and challenging projects from concept through to completion
- Perform analyses and calculations for large building structural engineering projects
- Develop structural details, including general arrangements and interface detailing
- Supervise junior staff’s work, to ensure that it is carried out to the company’s high standards, and managed to the project’s requirements and budget
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians designing building structures
- Control the commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects where applicable
PROFILE
- University degree qualified in Structural Engineering, ideally with a MIStructE chartership
- At least 10 years’ experience in Structural Engineering of large and complex building projects, especially large warehouses, data centres, or industrial buildings
- Demonstrable history of delivering high quality structural design solutions, including creative and conceptual design abilities, as well as analysis and calculations to a level of detailed construction information
- Excellent technical knowledge of Autodesk Revit software and 3D modelling software
- UK based, with the ability to travel a couple of times a month to Paris
- Able to start immediately and invoice outside of IR35
- Fluent in spoken and written English
