Linum Consult’s client is RB Rail on the Rail Baltica project: the largest Baltic transport infrastructure project that will create the North – East economic corridor. It will be an electrified, high speed railway line with modern infrastructure for passenger and freight services, ensuring environmentally friendly and fast transportation from Tallinn to the Lithuanian-Polish border. Rail Baltica will connect the Baltic States with Central and Western Europe. The project is largely co-financed by the European Union. They are currently in need of a Railway Signalling Engineer to join their team in Latvia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and reviewing the project technical documentation, i.e. requirements, specifications, technical solutions, technical designs, bills of quantities
- Reviewing deliverables produced by designers, suppliers, and consultants involved in the project
- Carrying out the technical coordination of signalling systems’ deployments
- Cooperating closely with project stakeholders: national implementing bodies, the project engineer, and works contractor
- Participating in project planning and implementation tasks
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, ideally with a specialisation in the Railway sector or IT&T
- Around 5-8 years’ experience in railway signalling system engineering, design, or construction supervision, testing and acceptance
- Experienced in several ETCS and IXL projects, ideally working internationally
- Strong understanding of ETCS and IXL operational scenarios and functionality
- Understanding of railway engineering processes, CSM-RA, RAM, Safety & Interoperability (TSI-CCS)
- Strong organisational skills, with a technical and analytical approach
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
- The right to live and work in the EU
