Linum Consult’s client is an international specialist main contractor. They are looking to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical works on a major data centre construction project in Milan, Italy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing engineering tasks for the design of the electrical systems for a major data centre
- Preparing electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical systems designs including electrical equipment sizing, feeder sizing and equipment selection
- Planning and scheduling discipline deliverables and activities including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel
- Supporting the project’s on-site execution and making decisions to support projects and acting as a technical consultant
- Developing the conceptual design, preliminary design, and final design documents, which include calculations related to sizing and selection of these systems, the development of power diagrams, layout of electrical equipment, electrical system control, and similar
PROFILE
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a Professional Engineer certification
- Thorough knowledge of codes and common industry standards relating to the design of industrial buildings, data centres, or manufacturing facilities and their systems
- Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English
