Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are currently seeking a Buyer to be based in their head office in Doha, Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in creating and updating procurement tools and forms to support departmental procurement needs
  • Supporting the compilation of departmental procurement requirements into the annual organisational procurement plan
  • Executing the procurement process by initiating methods such as tendering or direct purchases
  • Issuing and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in the types, quantities, and prices of goods and services
  • Coordinating with suppliers to fulfil the company’s purchasing needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Assisting in the review and tracking of the procurement plan, monitoring expenditures and savings to support report preparation

PROFILE

  • Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant subject
  • At least 8 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, and external partners
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with any Arabic language skills a distinct advantage
